Women’s Day Celebration.

Association of Integrated Marine Engineering Students (AIMES), Department of Marine Engineering of SIT, Magaluru celebrated Women’s day on 8th March, 2022. Prof. Vatsalya Praveen, Department of mathematics, Srinivas Institute of technology was the chief guest. In her address, Prof. Vatsalya Praveen brought out the role of women in family and society. She said that women’s day celebrates the achievements women in various fields and also expresses our respect, appreciation and love towards the most powerful gender. The inaugural note was delivered by Prof Chandra Jogi In-Charge HOD, Marine Engineering Department. He accented the importance of this day by saying that the celebration is being done only because no other gender possess such enormous attributes. On this occasion, there were various events of celebrations and deliberations performed by the students and they shared their views on woman empowerment and ongoing scenarios. A cultural show was carried out which emphasized the role of women in the society. The programme was organized by AIMES office bearers and coordinated by Prof. Tony K Sebastian. The Program was concluded by proposing the vote of thanks by Ms Pallavi of 3rd Semester Marine Engineering.
