My story – a motivational session By a successful entrepreneur

The Institute's Innovation Council (IIC) has organized a program on My story – a motivational session By a successful entrepreneur on 19th November 2022 at Srinivas Institute of Technology, Valachil, Mangaluru. Mr. Deepak M Kurubar, Founder of Lakshya Space, Bengaluru and Mr. Dhanush DB, Co-founder of Lakshya Space, Bengaluru, were the chief guests of the function. The session started with an introduction to entrepreneurship. How one should be passionate about making their ideas work. The duo discussed how starters need to have everything planned adequately before starting. The speakers also spoke about the prerequisites of starting a business and running it profitably. All this was explained by discussing the startup stories of Paytm, Fresh menu, Flipkart, Ola, Uber, and Swiggy and their journey. Mr. Deepak M Kurubar introduced the different aspects of entrepreneurship and emphasized that zeal and a great idea are the only ingredients in a recipe for a business startup. He mentioned that people do not start their new ventures in a country like India due to non-awareness amongst the population of India and decide to go for jobs in private or government sectors to minimize the risk. Therefore, he emphasized to raise the essential awareness of entrepreneurial concepts and to enable students to identify and learn how to make a mindset to take up entrepreneurship as a challenging career.
