Department of Marine Engineering organized an industrial visit

The Department of Marine Engineering of Srinivas Institute of technology organized an industrial visit for the 5th semester students on 11th and 12th October 2019. During the two day industrial visit, students visited the port of captain, Goa on 11th October 2019. In the port students had a tour of engine room of casino ferry and the engineers explained the layout, working of engine room machineries. On 12th October 2019 they visited custom museum, Goa, where the museum officials explained the hierarchy of custom department and the procedures involved in custom checking. The visit helped the students to understand how the custom officials detect the theft items and various slabs custom taxes for the exchanging goods. Also the students explored to various items confiscated by the custom officials.
