In Association with NSS and Green Cell Organized A Field Visit at Pachanady Dumping Yard

Department of MBA at Srinivas Institute of Technology, Valachil, Mangaluru, in collaboration with the NSS and Green Cell, organized A Field Visit at Pachanady Dumping Yard on 26th December 2024. The field visit was aimed at providing MBA first-year students (107 students) with exposure to problem identification and problem-solving skills. Accompanied by two staff members, the visit focused on waste management practices and the environmental impact associated with the site. The main objective was to understand the waste management processes followed at the Pachanady Dumping Yard and to raise awareness about sustainable waste management practices. The students observed firsthand the critical issues facing waste management facilities in urban areas. This visit was an eye-opening experience, offering valuable insights into waste management challenges and practices, highlighting the importance of efficient waste segregation, proper environmental safeguards, and the community's role in managing waste.
