Inaugural of FALCONS Association 2019-2020 and Technical Talk

On 1st October 2019, Department of Nanotechnology of Srinivas Institute of Technology organized Inaugural function. The chief guest was Dr. Bharathi Prakash, Professor and Head, Department of Microbiology, University College, Hampanakatta, Mangalore, accompanied by the vice principal of Srinivas Institute of Technology Dr. Shivakumar G. S., Guest of honor Dr. Prasad P., Student Association coordinator Prof. Shareefraju j. Ukkund and Students Association members.

Later the formal function was initiated by prayers and floral welcome. All the office bearers for the year 2019-2020 were introduced; the students who received merit in the year 2018-2019 were awarded by the guest. The students were motivated by the Vice Principal, HOD and chief guest Dr. Bharathi Prakash by their speech followed by the announcement of all the activities that are going to be held under FALCONS Association 2019-20. As a token of love a memento was presented to honor chief guest by the Vice Principal. The formal function was concluded with a vote of thanks.

After the formal function a talk on “Microbes in Nanotechnology” was given by the chief guest. She shared her precious knowledge and experience in the field of Nanotechnology and Microbiology. The students were inspired and motivated by her talk. The chief guest promised the branch and the students that she will be supporting us for any help needed in research.

Refreshments and lunch were arranged for the guest and the audience as well. The inaugural function was a great success; all the hard work done by the faculties, student’s association members and all the volunteer students was invaluable.
