Hands on session on Intellectual Property Rights and Prior Art Search

The Department of Electronics and Communication Enginrering in association with IPR cell of SIT Mangaluru organized a hands on session on “The need for IPR and Prior Art Search” on 26-10-2019. Total 70 students participated in the session. Prof. Sathish Kumar.K of ECE department was the resource person.

In this session the information about the importance of IPR and Patent search were explained. The students were guided to do the final year projects in perspective of IPR and Patents.The students were asked to do the Prior Art Search before doing their final year projects using USPTO, EPO, Google patents and IPR India search engines.
