Four-day workshop On Data Acquisition and Sensor Interface

The department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering of Srinivas Institute of Technology, Mangaluru with ELITE association is organized a four-day hands on workshop on Data Acquisition & Sensor Interface from 3rd to 6th February 2020. Mr. Satyanarayan R, VI solutions, Bengaluru was the resource person.

The inaugural function of workshop was held on 3rd march at 9.30 AM in the Control System Lab. Dr. Shrinivasa Mayya D, principal, SIT Mangaluru presided over the function and congratulated the students for attending the workshop. He advised the students to make the best use of the workshop and implement the practical skills and knowledge acquired to their project work and research. He also advised the students to keep practice the practical knowledge gained from the workshop.

Mr Satayanarayan R, Resource person highlighted the syllabus and importance of the of the workshop. During the workshop, he has systematically given variety of example of data acquisitions and sensor interface. Students were practically experienced the data acquisition from various sensors in real time and how to process the data in real time using MyDAC and LabVIEW. He also instructed the students how to perform in National Instrument (NI) Certified LabView Associate Developer CLAD Exam.

Prof. Lokesh B, HOD, Electrical and Electronics engineering encouraged the students to actively participate in the workshop. He presided over the valedictory function and presented the college memento to the resource person.

Dr. Jose Alex Mathew, Professor, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Coordinator of the workshop, welcomed the gathering in the inaugural and valedictory function.

The staff Sub-coordinators were Mr. Sulthan Mohyuddin and Mrs. Veena Rani A V.

All the staff members of the Electrical and Electronics Engineering were participated in the workshop and distributed the Certificate to the students during the valedictory function.

The student coordinators were Mr Sheryas, Mr Rakesh T Sharma, Mr Srujan J Rao, Mr Chethan , Mr Chidananad P Marathi of 6th Sem EEE and Mr Chirag G Poojary & Mr K P Srivalsa of 4th Sem EEE.

Forty-five students of 3rd and 5th Sem were participated in the workshop.

Ms. Bindu F P of 6th Sem was the master of ceremonies of the inaugural and valedictory function.

Mr. Sawad P K of 6th Sem, EEE presented the vote of thanks in both functions.
