An Outreach and Activity Point Program by the Students of Aeronautical Engineering

In order to promote neighbourhood network and self engagement in extension activities, 3rd semester students of Aeronautical Engineering, members of Airetards along with Prof. Deepak Raj P Y, Prof. Jagadeesh B, Prof. Chethan I C, Department of Aeronautical Engineering, SIT, Mangaluru conducted an Outreach and Activity Point Program to High school students of Government High School, Ajjibettu, BC Road, Bantwal. The three groups of aeronautical engineering students actively conducted this program in order to help the school to achieve good result and enhance their skillsets and chances of enrolment in higher education, technical education and vocational education. Career guidance was given to prepare the school students for implementing plans that creates local job opportunities and plans to improve education quality in village. Also the High school students actively participated in the activities like Aeromodelling and Water Rocket Demonstration. The program was coordinated under the guidance of Dr. Ramakrishna N. Hegde, HOD, Aeronautical Engineering.
