Workshop on Intel India STEM Skills Program for Women
SIT IIC and Innovation Club along with the Department of ECE, CSE, ISE, AI-ML, AI-DS and EEE conducted workshop on “Intel India STEM Skills Program for Women”. The program was conducted on 4-11-2022 in Seminar Hall. Ms. Poornima Badiger was the resource person. This program is implemented by Learning Links Foundation and supported by Intel India and focuses on imparting training and capacity development on VLSI technology for female students pursuing their B.E. in colleges across Karnataka. Apart from technical training, students will also be enabled on soft skills like communication, teamwork, time management etc. to make them job-ready. The objective of the program is to offer women in STEM more opportunities to gain new-age technology skills that will make them workforce-ready for the future and increase the number of women in STEM who advance into leadership roles. Around 160 students actively participated in this program from different engineering streams. Association Department coordinators of ECE, CSE, ISE, AI-ML, AI-DS and EEE helped to organize this program.
