One day workshop on “Cyber Safety & Consumer Awareness”

A one day workshop on “Cyber Safety & Consumer Awareness” was organized on 24th August 2019 by the Department of Computer Science & Engineering in association with Cyber Peace Foundation, Ranchi for the benefit of faculty and students of the college. Mr. I L Narasimha Rao, Senior Project Manager, Cyber Peace Foundation, Ranchi inaugurated the program. In his address he highlighted the opportunities in the area of Cyber Security and stressed on the need of creating awareness about frauds & mischief’s in the online world. He also said, mentoring the youth to adopt smart and safe practices should be the top priority.

Ms. Janice Verghese, Cyber Lawyer & Trainer, Cyber Peace Foundation, Ranchi was the resource person.

Dr. Shrinivasa Mayya D., Principal of the college, in his Presidential address urged the students to act and behave responsibly while using the online world. Dr. Shivakumar G. S , H.O.D, CS&E was present in the occasion.

Program was welcomed by Prof. Aravind Naik, Asst. Professor, Dept. of CS&E and Prof. Nagaraja Hebbar, Assoc. Professor, Dept. of CS&E delivered the vote of thanks. The whole program was compered by Ms. Sowmyashree M and Ms. Pushpa Padti.
