Women’s Cell Srinivas Institute of Technology, Valachil Mangalore organized Women’s day celebration on 8th March 2023. Dr Rameela Shekhar, Mental Health Professional Director, Manashanthi was the Chief Guest ,She in her Chief Guest address highlighted the importance of women in every one’s life . The formal function was inaugurated by lighting the lamp by the dignitaries. Dr Gopala Krishna Bhat HOD of Chemistry Department SIT Mangalore was the President of the function. He in his presidential address highlighted the changing role and responsibilities of women. Prof Sneha Bose from the Department of ISE/AIML, welcomed the gathering, Dr.VeenaSanthoshRai, coordinator Women’s cell introduced the Chief Guest.Prof Nagalaxmi from the Department of E & C delivered vote of thanks. Miss Violet Seema Pinto of Second year MBA was the master of ceremony. Formal functionwas followed by a special lecture by Dr Rameela Shekhar, “Lean Out to Make Space for Your Wellbeing”. Students from all the branches of Engineering, MBA and MCA Participated in the programme.
