Visit to Incubation Centre”

As a part of the outreach program of the IIC, the students of 3rd Semester Aeronautical, Automobile and Mechanical Engineering visited the Centre for System Design at the National Institute of Technology Karnataka, Surathkal. Speaking on the visit, Dr. Gangadharan K, Professor and Dean (P&D) Dept. Of Mechanical Engineering and Head, CSD echoed the importance of innovative aspects in an engineer's life and challenged the students to think out of the normal regimes of Engineering Students were exposed to different aspects such as Virtual Labs, Design and Fabrications of Electric Vehicles, Applications of Drones in search and rescue, additive manufacturing, Laser cutting and etching, UGVs, Augmented Reality and Virtual reality, Drone Stability and control, HAM, and others. The program was coordinated by Prof. Prakash ST, dept of AU and Prof. Praveen Shenoy, Dept of Aero. 46 students participated in the event.
