Visit to BITS Pilani Goa Campus

As part of their case study to understand and appreciate good campus design, the current 6’th semester B. Arch students of Srinivas School of Architecture (SSA) the students visited Birla Institute of Technology and Science Pilani (BITS) KK Birla Goa campus on 04-03-2024. There were 30 students accompanied by their faculty namely; Ar. Leslie J. Dias and Ar. Colin A. Pinto.The campus is designed by the notable architecture firms of RSP Design and Mumbai based Hafiz Contractor. The most notable feature of the campus was the climate responsive buildings, the covered walkways inter connecting the various blocks and the well-maintained landscaped courts and gardens. The students visited the main admin block, the computer science block, the mess and the student activity center. The class and faculty are grateful to the estate manager, Mr. Patil and head of horticulture, Mr. Imran of BITS Goa campus for their guidance and cooperation.The campus tour ended with a visit to the beautiful Birla Radha Krishna Mandir at the entrance of the campus.
