SRINIVAS INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY VALACHIL, MANGALURU DEPARTMENT OF PHYSICS Report 06-11-2024 One day workshop on “Energy Literacy” for PU Students was organized by the Department of Physics & Green Cell on 5th November 2024 at Govt. Pre University College, Puttur, D. K. The session, led by Dr. Suryanarayana K, HOD, Department of Physics, Srinivas Institute of Technology, Mangaluru, highlighted various critical aspects of energy management, the importance of transitioning to renewable energy, and the role of students in contributing to energy conservation efforts. The speaker concluded the session by encouraging students to take small, actionable steps in their daily lives to conserve energy, and highlighted the importance of energy literacy in shaping future policy and technological advancements. The event was a success, leaving students with valuable knowledge about energy and sustainability. After getting the basic knowledge students are made to register for the course on “Energy Literacy” by Energy Swaraj foundation. They have to complete 12 modules and pass the test to get the certificate. Mr.Gopala Gowda, Principal of Govt.PU College Puttur, welcomed the gathering and given the vote of thanks.
