Technova – CSE Department Organizes a Thrilling Technical Event

The **Department of Computer Science and Engineering** at **Srinivas Institute of Technology, Mangaluru**, successfully organized a technical event titled **“Technova”**, aimed at fostering technical competence, creativity, and collaborative spirit among students. A total of **60 enthusiastic teams** from various semesters participated in the event, making it a grand success. The event, organized under the banner of the department association **ASCEE**, comprised **three engaging rounds**, each designed to test a unique set of skills: • **Round 1 – Pictionary:** One member from each team picked a chit containing a technical word and illustrated it, while the other team members guessed the term. This round promoted **creative thinking and clear communication**. • **Round 2 – Quiz:** Conducted via an **online platform**, this round featured **20 technical questions**. Teams that responded quickly and accurately advanced to the next stage. This tested the participants’ **technical knowledge and reflexes**. • **Round 3 – Treasure Hunt:** Teams received **buggy code snippets** that needed correction. Once corrected, they revealed clues directing teams to different locations. This round highlighted students’ **problem-solving abilities and programming skills** under time pressure. The event was held under the guidance of **Dr. Suresha D**, Head of the Department of CSE, with dedicated coordination by **Prof. Aravind Naik** and **Prof. Shreya Shetty**, Association Coordinators of ASCEE. Their meticulous planning and support ensured the smooth execution of the event.
