Swachh Bharat Cleanliness Drive

SRINIVAS INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY, MANGALURU DEPARTMENT OF INFORMATION SCIENCE AND ENGINEERING “Swachh Bharat” The students of the 3rd semester, Department of Information Science and Engineering, organized a “Swachh Bharat” campaign on November 27, 2024, at Pilikula. This event was part of the NSS activity. The main goals of the campaign were to spread awareness about cleanliness, make the surroundings look better, protect local wildlife and nature, encourage proper waste management, and build teamwork among students. As part of the activity, students cleaned the entrance area of Pilikula and picked up waste to keep the place neat and tidy. The campaign helped students understand the importance of keeping public spaces clean and the harmful effects of littering. It also taught them about the need for proper waste disposal, recycling, and reducing waste to support a sustainable lifestyle. The activity was both meaningful and fun. Students worked together to pick up litter, clean common areas, and inspire others to keep the environment clean. It was a great way to connect with each other and make a positive impact. This campaign was supported by our beloved Principal Dr. Shrinivasa Mayya D. The campaign was successfully completed with the help of Prof. Sudarshan K, Head of the Department, IS&E. This event is coordinated by Prof. Sowmya, Staff Advisor of AISE.
