Student Association Inauguration Ceremony

SRINIVAS INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY, MANGALURU Department of Information Science and Engineering and Computer Science and Design ASSOCIATION-INAUGURATION The combined association inaugural function of AISE and ACODE was held on 6th November 2024.The event was invocated by Joshna and team of 3rd sem ISE, followed by welcome address by Sinchana Secretary of AISE. Dr.Padmanayana HOD,Department of ACODE, Prof.Sudharshan K HOD, Department of AISE, were present at the event. The association was inaugurated by the chief guest, Ms. Vaibhavi Software engineer , Aykan, Mangalore. The inaugural function was presided by Dr.Shankar K S, Head of the Department Mechanical Engineering where he appreciated the efforts in making associations and opportunities offered by college in an over-all development, coming together of diverse ideas, promote more events and programs and enhance skills. The inaugural ceremony was followed by a talk by the chief guest on ‘Effective way of learning-Placement Talk’ where she highlighted that learning isn’t limited to college, importance of settling down, preparation for placements, happenings of corporate world, being part of events. The event continued with the Dr.Padmanayana, HOD of CSD and Prof. Sudarshan K, HOD of ISE extending congratulations to the office bearers of the associations. The event was followed by complete action plan for academic year 2024-25 was presented by President of AISE Ms.Jayashree K R. Prof. Rajeshwari R Shettigar, the faculty advisor of ACODE (Association of Computer Science and Engineering), formally announced and introduced the office bearers for the respective associations fr the academic year 2024-25 to the gathered audience. Mrs. Sowmya, the faculty advisor of AISE (Association of Information Science and Engineering), announced the prize winners of various events conducted under both associations. The function was concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Ms. Vaishnavi, Secretary of ACODE. The Chief Guest, Ms. Vaibhavi, a Software Developer at Aykan, Mangaluru, delivered an insightful talk on the topic “Pathway to Placement Success.” During her presentation, she highlighted essential strategies for students preparing for placements, including the importance of self-assessment, setting clear goals, and building both technical and interpersonal skills. She emphasized a growth mindset and adaptability as keys to thriving in today’s dynamic job market, inspiring students with practical advice and actionable steps to achieve success in their career journeys. Master of Ceremonies for the event were Aishwarya Poojari from 5th-semester ISE and Deeksha Shetty from 5th-semester CSD, who guided the proceedings with grace and enthusiasm. 1
