
AIML Department Hosts Session on Startup Survival Through IPR
A session titled **Startup Survival Through IPR: A Case Study on IPR Strategy for AI Startup** was conducted on **22nd April 2025** from **2:00 PM to 4:00 PM** at **Srinivas Institute of Technology**, organized by the **Department of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (AIML)** in association with the **Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC)**. The session was delivered by **Dr. Lokesh K S** from the **Department of Aeronautical Engineering**, and focused on the significance of **Intellectual Property Rights (IPR)** in ensuring the **success and sustainability** of startups, especially those rooted in AI technologies. Attended by **6th semester AIML and CSE students**, the session featured **real-world case studies** to highlight how startups can build a **strategic edge** through proper utilization and protection of intellectual property. The event encouraged students to **think innovatively and legally** while designing and planning their future entrepreneurial ventures. This impactful session significantly contributed to increasing awareness of the legal and strategic importance of IPR among budding innovators and startup enthusiasts.
