Startup Sparks Entrepreneurship Event

Srinivas Institute of Technology, Valachil, Mangaluru Institute’s Innovation Cell STARTUP SPARKS Date: 25/11/2024 On November 25, 2024, under the Institute’s Innovation Cell and the Association of Information Science and Engineering (AISE), the Department of ISE organized a contest named STARTUP SPARKs. STARTUP SPARKS was a quiz based on the topic startups and innovation. The event featured three exciting rounds. Among which first round was full of easy questions and the second round consisted of questions which were a bit difficult to answer and the last round was more difficult compared to the previous two rounds. A total of 36 teams participated in the event. In the first round, participants answered 20 multiple-choice questions. Thirty top-performing teams advanced to the second round, where they faced another set of 15 questions.For the next and the last round only fifteen top-performing teams were selected where they had to answer a set of 10 questions.The questions were all related to startups, their funding and innovation. Students from various departments, including ISE, CSD, AIML, and CSE, participated enthusiastically in large numbers, making the event a grand success. The contest showcased the students knowledge about startups and fostered inter-departmental collaboration and learning. The event was supported by Prof. Sudarshan K., Head of the Department (HOD), ISE. It was skilfully conducted by Ms. Sanvi Shetty and Ms. Varshini from the 3rd semester ISE. The event was coordinated by Ms. Aparna N under the guidance of Prof. Sowmya, Staff Advisor of AISE. Their teamwork and dedication ensured the smooth execution of the contest. STARTUP SPARKS stood out as an engaging platform for students to demonstrate their knowledge, setting a benchmark for future events and enhancing the innovative spirit within the institution.
