Srinivas Institute of Technology Hosts Annual Sports Day 2024

Mangaluru, December 16, 2024: Srinivas Institute of Technology (SIT), Mangaluru, successfully organized its Annual Sports Day, a vibrant celebration of athletic talent and teamwork that saw an impressive increase in participation, showcasing the students’ growing enthusiasm for sports and physical activities. The event was inaugurated by the Principal, Dr. Shrinivasa Mayya D, who, in his address, emphasized the importance of sports in fostering discipline, resilience, and teamwork among students, encouraging them to embrace the values of sportsmanship. The day commenced with a disciplined and unified march past by students from various departments, followed by a variety of sports activities, culminating in the winners being honored with medals. The presence of Heads of Departments added significance to the occasion, while the meticulous planning and execution by Dr. Dheeraj Hebri, the Sports Coordinator, along with Physical Directors Mr. Pranam Shetty and Mrs. Supriya Adiga, ensured the event's success. Students competed in a wide range of athletic and team sports, creating an atmosphere of excitement and camaraderie, with the grounds buzzing with energy as participants showcased their skills, cheered on by their peers and faculty members. The faculty and management commended the students for their active participation, which reflected the institute’s commitment to promoting a balanced and holistic educational experience. The remarkable increase in participation highlighted the institute’s dedication to extracurricular activities alongside academics, cementing the Annual Sports Day as a cherished tradition that unites the SIT community in celebrating talent, teamwork, and shared values. Mr. Rishabh R. Kumar, the Sports Secretary, welcomed the guests, Mr. Kumar Vishal hosted the program, and Mr. Kumar Abhilash, the Joint Sports Secretary, delivered the vote of thanks.
