Teachers’ Day Celebration

Teachers’ day was celebrated by the Department of Marine Engineering and Mechanical Engineering under the students associations AIMES and ASMA on 06 September 2021. The Program was held in the blended mode with an offline program and the webcast of the same. Dr Ramakrishna N Hegde, HOD, Automobile Engineering was the Chief Guest for the Function. In his address to the students he congratulated the student associations of Marine and Mechanical for arranging the teacher’s day celebration program. He elaborated on the role of a teacher in moulding successful students thus contributing to the nation building. He also stressed on the need for lifelong learning.  Dr. Shankar K S, HOD, Mechanical Engineering Department addressed the students regarding the ideals of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan and stressed the importance of the role of teachers. Prof. Chandra Jogi HOD, In-Charge, Department of Marine Engineering addressed the students and elaborated about the importance of a Guru and learning. The dignitaries then distributed teachers’ day gifts to all the teaching, technical and support staff. The office bearers of AIMES, ASMA along with the coordinators Mr. Tony K Sebastian and Mr. Lokesh V organised the program. Mr. S Akash of 2nd year Mechanical engineering welcomed the gathering, and Mr. Sujan of 2nd year Marine Engineering delivered vote of thanks. The program was compered by Mr. M C Saiprasad of 2nd year Marine Engineering.
