AICTE Sponsored Six Days Online Short Term Training Programme (STTP) On “DATA ANALYTICS IN BUSINESS”

Six Days Online Short Term Training Programme (STTP) on “Data Analytics in Business” was organized by MBA Department of Srinivas Institute of Technology from 3rd to 8th May 2021. The program was inaugurated by Dr.Ashok Rao, Former Head, Network Project, DESE, IISC, Bangalore. Principal of the college and Patron of this Six days program Dr.Shrinivasa Mayya D presided over the function and addressed the gathering. The Head of MBA department and Convenor of this six days program, Dr. Ajoy S Joseph has briefed about STTP to the participants. Dr.Hariprakash U P, dept of MBA welcomed the gathering, Prof. Rashmi, Staff coordinator of STTP, introduced Resource person to the invitees and Dr. Veena S Rai, Dept of MBA proposed vote of thanks. Prof. Steevan Robert Tellis, Staff Coordinator, STTP was the Master of ceremony of the programme. The session commenced with the topic “From Data to Data Analytics and Business” by Dr.Ashok Rao, Former Head, Network Project, DESE, IISC, Bangalore on 3rd May, Second day session was about Data Science For Business Decision Making- A Big Picture dealt by Prof.Vineit Takur, Consultant and Visiting Faculty, IIM, TAPMI . Third day topic was Financial Analytics handled by Prof.Hitesh Amar Punjabi, Professor, Department of finance, K J Somaiya Institute of Management Studies & Research, Mumbai. Fourth day session covered contents related HR Analytics by Dr. S Pavan Kumar, Associate Professor and Head, School of Management, National Institute of Technology Karnataka (NITK), Surathkal, Mangalore. Fifth day session was all about Marketing Analytics by Dr.Krupa Rai, Senior Assistant Professor, K J Somaiya Institute of Management, Somaiya Vidyavihar University Mumbai and the last day topic was Data Interpretation by Dr. Sucharitha Suresh, Associate Professor/Statistician, Father Muller medical college, Mangalore. And in the afternoon there was a session by Prof.Steevan Robert Tellis about National Educational Policy. Finally The Head of MCA department and Co-Convenor of this program Dr.Shashidhar Kini summarised this six days session, Around 200 faculties and research scholars from different Institutions were participated in this six days session.
