Report on the celebration of the Sharada Pooja and Ayudha Pooja

Sharada Pooja and Ayudha Pooja were celebrated in Srinivas Institute of Technology, Valachil, Mangalore, on 20th October 2023. As the Sharada Pooja is celebrated to worship Goddess Saraswathi, the Goddess of knowledge, wisdom and learning. Sharada Pooja rituals were held at the department of Library and Information Science in a beautifully arranged Mantapam. Sweets and Prasadam was distributed after the Pooja. Sharada Pooja was followed by Ayudha Pooja rituals at various departments and in their lab Facilities, as we know that Ayudha Pooja is the day we honor and express gratitude for all the instruments that add meaning to our life. So it’s our tradition to worship the tools and Instruments which are used in the labs of various departments. Mahamangalarathi of the Ayudha Pooja was held in the Workshop of Mechanical Engineering department. The workshop was beautifully decorated by the students of Mechanical and Marine engineering. Staffs and student volunteers were singing the Bhajans in the workshop along with the Pooja rituals by the Archak. Prasadam, Juice and sweets were distributed by the student volunteers after the mangalarathi.The event was successfully organized by Prof. Sathya Prakash A, under the guidance of Principal Dr. Shrinivasa Mayya D.
