Report on one day workshop “Mechanical Wisdom-2023”

Department of Mechanical Engineering and All Students Mechanical Association (ASMA) jointly organised one day workshop on introduction to various machine tools of the Mechanical Labs called “Mechanical Wisdom” for the students of first year on 18th August 2023. This workshop gave the overall working features and applications of the various machine tools used in the mechanical field of various industries.Dr. Shankar K S, Professor and HoD of Mechanical Engineering department inaugurated the workshop. In his inaugural address Professor congratulated the students for organizing the workshop and explained the importance and benefits of attending such informative workshops. Second year students of mechanical engineering gave the demo of various tools and explained the working mechanism and applications of various tools used. Students of first year had the hands on experience on working with, lathe machines, drilling machines, welding etc. Students also got introduced into the working of CNC machine. Students had very interactive session on the workshop. Each student of the workshop got to know the machine tools and its working. Faculty coordinator of the workshop Prof. Sathya Prakash A gave the overview of the workshop. Dr. Raghavendra M J, Faculty coordinator of the ASMA proposed the vote of thanks.
