Project Exhibition 2025 – Showcasing Innovation Across Disciplines

The inaugural ceremony of “Project Exhibition 2025” was held at Srinivas Institute of Technology, Valachil, Mangaluru, on 12th May 2025. The event showcased innovative final-year student projects across various engineering disciplines. Mr. Vittal Shenoy, Senior Analyst at Infosys Ltd, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Dr. CA A. Raghavendra Rao, Honourable Chancellor of Srinivas University and President of the A. Shama Rao Foundation, presided over the function. Dr. Shrinivasa Mayya D, Principal of the college, and Prof. Jayaram Thumbe, Convenor of the program, were present on the dais. In his address, Mr. Vittal Shenoy emphasized the importance of such exhibitions in promoting knowledge exchange and practical learning. He highlighted the existing gap between academic learning and real-world applications, encouraging students to upskill themselves with the latest technologies to remain industry-ready. During his presidential address, Dr. CA A. Raghavendra Rao emphasized the need for innovation in every student project, underscoring their potential to make meaningful contributions to society. He encouraged students to take their ideas beyond the classroom by converting them into tangible products and pursuing patent registration. A total of 107 undergraduate projects were exhibited at the event, representing various departments of the institution. The department-wise distribution included: Automobile Engineering – 4, Aeronautical Engineering – 8, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning – 15, Computer Science and Engineering – 32, Information Science and Engineering – 8, Electronics and Communication Engineering – 12, Electrical Engineering – 3, Mechanical Engineering – 3, Marine Engineering – 7, and Artificial Intelligence and Data Science – 15. Notably, 17 of these projects were sponsored by the Karnataka State Council for Science and Technology (KSCST), Bengaluru. Prof. Jayaram Thumbe, Convenor of the program, delivered the welcome address and provided an overview of Project Exhibition 2025. Mr. Prithuesh P.B, 8th Semester Marine Engineering, introduced the Chief Guest. The vote of thanks was delivered by Mrs. Dayanayak, Head of the Department of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. Mr. SVS Madhav and Mr. Prithuesh PB, 8th Semester Marine Engineering, were the masters of ceremonies.
