Parichay 2024 - Freshers' Day Celebration

SRINIVAS INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY, MANGALURU DEPARTMENT OF COMPUTER SCIENCE & ENGINEERING “PARICHAY 2024”- FRESHER’S DAY CELEBRATION Fresher’s Day celebration with the theme “Parichay 2024” was organized on 2nd December 2024 at Srinivas Institute of Technology, Mangaluru by the student association ASCEE of Computer Science & Engineering Department to welcome the batch of 2023. This eagerly awaited event was meticulously planned to create a memorable experience for the newcomers, fostering a sense of belonging and camaraderie among them. Dr. Shrinivasa Mayya D, Principal of the college, shared his views towards the importance of organizing such events that will encourage the students to exhibit their talents and involve themselves in association activities. Dr. Suresha D, HOD, CS&E encouraged the students to work hard, be disciplined and participate in extracurricular activities. Senior students arranged an array of exciting and interactive games designed to bring juniors together and encourage active participation. The activities included cup pyramid with balloons, saree and dhoti draping, dance along the line, head shoulder knees and toes, pass the cup with straw, lucky chair or talent show, and shake off the sticky notes. Each game brought laughter, energy, and healthy competition, adding to the vibrant atmosphere of the day. The event was skillfully hosted by anchors Mr. Shree Hari and Ms. Rithika, whose lively and engaging commentary kept the audience entertained throughout. The day began with colorful decorations featuring balloons and ribbons, transforming the venue into a festive and welcoming space. Freshers Day 2024 was not just a celebration but a platform to build connections, showcase talent, and create lasting memories. The event succeeded in making the new students feel welcomed and valued, marking the beginning of an exciting journey at Srinivas Institute of Technology.
