Plastic-Free Campus 2024

On September 19, 2024, the Marine Students' Association (AIMES) and the NSS unit of Srinivas Institute of Technology, Valachil, collaboratively organized a campus cleaning initiative as part of the 'Swachata Hi Seva Campaign,' aimed at eradicating plastic waste. The initiative was overseen by Dr. Lokesh V, Head of the Marine Engineering Department, and Prof. Sunil Prakash Rodrigues. The program focused on raising awareness of the importance of a clean and sustainable campus environment, with active participation from students and faculty.
