PHP IN WEB DEV

The Department of Computer Science and Design of Srinivas Institute of Technology, Mangaluru, organized a hands-on session on “PHP IN WEB DEV” on 28th June 2024, under the Association of Computer Science and Design (ACODE). The session was conducted by Mr. Aditya Madhukar Bhat, CEO of Swizsoft, who served as the resource person for the workshop for 4th semester CSD students to underscore the importance of PHP in web development, followed by practical coding. The session highlighted how PHP enhances the creation of dynamic and interactive websites, emphasizing its role in server-side scripting, database interaction, and form handling. Students learned about popular PHP frameworks, best practices for secure coding, and strategies for optimizing performance. A mini project was conducted, where students developed a small web application incorporating basic to advanced PHP concepts. Recommendations include regular practice with PHP, additional workshops on advanced topics, peer learning, and providing detailed feedback to ensure students are well-prepared for real-world web development challenges. The event was coordinated by Dr. Padmanayana, HOD-CSD, and Staff Coordinator Mrs. Rajeshwari R. Shettigar.
