Outreach program On POLLUTION CONTROL

In order to exchange the knowledge and create the awareness among the people, students of department of Aeronautical and Automobile engineering, under association of AMARA, Srinivas institute of Technology, Valachil, Mangaluru, conducted “Outreach program on Pollution Control” near nantoor junction, Mangaluru on 2nd December 2023.Mr. Prakash ST, faculty member in the Department of Automobile Engineering, took charge of guiding the students regarding the schedule and agenda for the day's program, ensuring clarity and understanding among the participants. Dr. Rajesh M, Department of Aeronautical Engineering provided a comprehensive briefing on essential safety guidelines imperative for fostering awareness among individuals navigating through traffic. The students took the initiative to elucidate critical aspects of pollution control and conducted informative demonstrations to showcase effective measures. They highlighted the collective responsibility in mitigating the adverse effects of pollution, emphasizing the duties and obligations of individuals. The students expounded on various modes of pollution transmission, methods of identifying pollution sources, and safety measures to mitigate its impact. This initiative aimed to foster awareness among residents and fellow students, encouraging the adoption of eco-friendly practices in and around the community. Beyond academic pursuits, the students sought to instill a sense of social responsibility, urging everyone to actively contribute to pollution control efforts. The program was conducted successfully with the support of Dr. Ramakrishna N Hegde, HOD, Aeronautical and Automobile engineering, for their unwavering support and guidance, which contributed to the success of this event.
