National Startup Day

Srinivas Institute of Technology Valachil, Mangaluru and Institution's Innovation Council (IIC) celebrated National Startup Day in the college on 16/01/2024.The program was presided by Principal Dr. Shrinivasa Mayya D, Dr Ramakrishna N Hegde Convener-IIC, Dr. Soorya Krishna K, HOD ECE Department, Mr. Clitus DSouza, Event Coordinator. Prof. Shailesh Shetty S, HOD CSBS was the resource person. Ms Lisha of 5th sem ECE department welcomed the gathering and compelled the program. Ms Kavya of 3rd Sem ECE lead us into prayer followed by lighting of lamp by the invitees On this occasion Dr. Ramakrishna N Hegde, Convener- IIC briefed the gathering regarding Startup prospects in India and its importance. Dr. Shrinivasa Mayya D, Principal congratulated the student CEO’s and motivated the gathering regarding different funding schemes available through Government of India for startups Resource person Prof. Shailesh Shetty S shared his thoughts on “startup and its significance”. He emphasized differences between MSME, LLP and Pvt.Ltd registrations. He further discussed on pros and cons of startup and encouraged the students on converting their ideas into products and to be innovators. The occasion was graced by HODs, teaching and non-teaching staff and about 36 students participated in the program.
