Nasha Mukth Bharath Abhiyan: Awareness and Pledge Program

On August 13 2025 under the National Service Scheme NSS the Association of Information Science and Engineering AISE and Computer Science and Design ACODE the Department of ISE and CSD organized an awareness and pledge-taking program as part of the nationwide Nasha Mukth Bharath Abhiyan. The initiative aimed at creating a drug-free India by educating and inspiring the younger generation to lead healthier lives. The program highlighted the theme Say No to Drugs Yes to Life. Students and faculty members actively participated in the campaign which focused on spreading awareness about the harmful effects of drug abuse and the importance of living a balanced responsible lifestyle. A collective pledge was taken by all participants to stay away from drugs and to stand united against substance abuse. The session emphasized that youth are the driving force of the nation and their choices directly influence the growth of society. By promoting discipline responsibility and self-awareness the initiative encouraged students to inspire their peers families and communities to join hands in creating a drug-free environment. Such activities not only educate but also instill a sense of social responsibility among the student community reinforcing the values of unity and integrity. The event was supported by Prof Sudarshan K Head of the Department HOD ISE and CSD and coordinated by Prof Sowmya Prof Archana D Staff Advisor of AISE and ACODE and Prof Rakesh Mallya College NSS Coordinator. Their teamwork and dedication ensured the smooth execution of the event. The awareness and pledge-taking program under Nasha Mukth Bharath Abhiyan proved to be a meaningful step in educating students about the dangers of drug abuse and the importance of leading a healthy life motivating participants to become ambassadors of change spreading the message of a drug-free society within and beyond the campus.
