NATIONAL ENERGY CONSERVATION DAY

NSS Unit and All student Mechanical Association (ASMA) celebrated National Energy Conservation Day on 14th December, 2023, in association with Institution Innovation Council. Student Ms Hrithika Nikam from Final year Aeronautical engineering welcomed the gathering, Raghavendra B M Introduced the Chief guest of the function Dr. Gangadhara Rao, Professor, Department of Aeronautical Engineering, SIT Mangaluru. Who was delivered a key note address on National Energy Conservation Day and an invited lecture on ‘Energy Saving Tips at Home’ he presented a comprehensive session on effective energy-saving strategies for homes highlighting practical tips and the impact of sustainable practices on reducing energy consumption and promoting a greener lifestyle. President of the function Dr. Shrinivasa Mayya D delivered an insightful presidential address commemorating National Energy Conservation Day shedding light on the significance of energy preservation emphasizing actionable steps toward sustainable energy usage and inspiring collective efforts for a greener future. More than 150 students gathered and were actively involved in discussion by raising questions to clarify their doubts on optical phenomenon which are the basis for the study of Emerging Energy technology. Ms. Bhoomika A D 7th Sem Aeronautical Engg adeptly led the event as the Master of Ceremonies Invocation was done by student Ms SHARANYA I S 7th Sem Aeronautical engineering and vote of thanks delivered by Student Shwetha K P overall event coordinated by Dr Raghavendra M J Associate Professor Dept of Mechanical Engineering and Prof Rakesh Mallya Assistant Professor Dept of Electronics and Communication Engineering
