Mentoring Session on Lean Startup Success

The Department of MCA in association with the Institution’s Innovation Council IIC and EDP Cell of Srinivas Institute of Technology organized a Mentoring Session on Lean Startup Success on 14th August 2025 at 100 PM in Venue M-401. The resource person for the session was Prof Rajesh Naik Assistant Professor Department of MCA SIT Mangaluru. The session aimed at fostering entrepreneurial thinking among students by introducing them to the Lean Startup Methodology. Prof Rajesh Naik highlighted the importance of building a Minimum Viable Product MVP validating ideas through customer feedback and adopting an iterative approach to reduce risks and increase the chances of success in startups. He also emphasized how innovation adaptability and resource optimization play crucial roles in transforming startup ideas into sustainable ventures. The talk was highly interactive with students actively engaging in discussions and clarifying their doubts on entrepreneurship and business models. The session not only enriched their knowledge but also inspired them to take initiatives in the field of innovation and startups. The program was successfully conducted under the guidance of Dr Shrinivasa Mayya D Principal Dr Shashidhar Kini K HOD MCA and coordinated by Dr Praveen Shenoy K IIC Coordinator and Prof Swapnil Pai Event Coordinator. Overall the session was well appreciated by the participants who expressed that they gained valuable insights and motivation to pursue entrepreneurial ventures.
