Mahila-Suraksha-2023

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering Student association ASCEE in association with Women Cell organised an event on self-defence for women “Mahila Suraksha” for 3rd year students on 1st April 2023 at Srinivas Institute of Technology, Mangaluru.Mr. Srivatsa S V, 2nd Dan Black Belt Wado-Ryu Karate Association trained the audience to defend themselves and their surroundings to protect them from threat of violence. He said self-defence will allow women to develop confidence and defend against any type of physical assault. He also demonstrated counter attacks techniques using punches, knees, elbows and kicks.Mrs. Deepthi P.Dsouza, Co-ordinator, Women Cell encouraged the women to be mentally strong and counter attack physical assaults. Prof.Ravishankara K, H.O.D, CS&E was present on this occasion. Ms. Shivani and Ms. Priya compered the whole event.
