JAMA MASJID, DELHI

On August 7, 2024, 20 students accompanied by 1 faculty of Srinivas School of Architecture, Mangalore visited the Jama Masjid. The mosque, a prime example of Mughal architecture, is characterized by its imposing red sandstone structure with white marble inlays. There are three gateways which leads to a sprawling courtyard. The minarets and the domes are the iconic elements of the mosque. The bustling market place surrounding the mosque also became the highlight of the visit.
