International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking organised by EC&E Dept

The Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) Department of Srinivas Institute of Technology, Valachil, observed the International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking on June 26, 2024. This event was organized to raise awareness among students about the dangers of drug abuse and to promote a drug-free environment within the department. The event began with a welcome address by the Dr. Soorya Krishna K, Head of the ECE De-partment. The Head emphasized the critical importance of the International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking and reaffirmed the department's commitment to maintaining a safe and healthy environment for all students. A significant highlight of the event was the pledge ceremony by Prof. Rakesh Mallya, NSS coordinator. All students present took a solemn pledge to remain drug-free and to support their peers in making healthy choices. The active participation and enthusiasm of the students showcased their dedication to promoting a drug-free environment. The event concluded with a vote of thanks by the Coordinator Prof. Flavita Pinto, who expressed gratitude to all participants and organizers for their efforts in making the event meaningful and impactful.
