Organized Innovation Brainstorming an Intra Departmental Competition

Department of MBA at Srinivas Institute of Technology, Valachil, Mangaluru, in collaboration with the Institution Innovation Council (IIC) and Yukti, organized ‘Innovation Brainstorming: An Intra Departmental Competition’ from 19th to 20th December 2024. The competition had two rounds. Round one was judged by Mrs. Mallika, Assistant Professor, Department of MBA, and Mr. Nithin Joshuva, Assistant Professor, Department of Marine Engineering. Round two was judged by Dr. Raghavendra M J, Associate Professor, Department of Mechanical Engineering, and Mr. Chandra Jogi, Assistant Professor, Department of Marine Engineering. The competition was conducted for MBA students, with 8 teams participating, each consisting of 5 to 6 members. The challenge focused on innovating an existing product or service by shifting to a more sustainable or eco-friendly innovation, leveraging technology for automation or personalization, and moving to a more digital-first approach. Team Mavericks won 1st place, and Team Catalyst secured 2nd place. The competition encouraged students to think critically and develop innovative ideas.
