Information Search Analysis and Presentation

On 12th December, Srinivas Institute of Technology (SIT) organized a one-day workshop on Information Search, Analysis, and Presentation (ISAP) as a part of its ongoing commitment to fostering innovation and the design process. The event saw enthusiastic participation from approximately 400 students representing various college departments.The inaugural program was presided by Dr. Shrinivasa Mayya D, the esteemed Principal of SIT. The chief guest for the occasion was Mr. Tanush Shetty, Application Engineer at IBM and an alumnus of SIT. Prof. Gourish Hegde, convenor, briefed the audience on the importance and history of ISAP.During his address, Mr. Tanush Shetty shared his journey as a student at SIT and highlighted the invaluable role that programs like ISAP played in his development. He emphasized the significance of data search and analysis, a first step in designing, citing how these skills enabled him to navigate vast amounts of information effectively. He encouraged students to view criticisms from judges as opportunities for growth and to strive for excellence in their endeavors continually.Dr. Shrinivasa Mayya D, in his inspirational speech, urged students to engage actively in data collection, emphasizing the importance of accurate data analysis. He underscored that selecting through data and drawing meaningful conclusions is a crucial skill for future professionals.
