Industrial Visit to GWASF Quality Casting Pvt Ltd

An industrial visit to GWASF quality casting private Ltd, Baikampady, Mangalore was organized by department of Mechanical Engineering, Srinivas Institute of Technology, Mangalore for the students of 4th and 6th semester Mechanical Engineering on 24th April 2025. The main objective of the visit was to provide students with real-time exposure to forging processes, machinery, safety practices, and quality control techniques used in industrial manufacturing. During the visit, students were guided through various sections of the industry, including Raw Material Section, Heating Furnace, Forging Section, Trimming and Machining, Heat Treatment, Inspection and Quality Control. The visit highlighted the importance of safety in forging operations. Students had an interactive session with the plant engineers and managers, who shared insights on, Selection of forging materials, Energy efficiency in forging, Automation and robotics in modern forging shops. The industrial visit to [Name of the Forging Industry] was a highly educational experience that enhanced students' understanding of the forging process and its relevance in modern manufacturing. It successfully connected classroom learning with real-world industrial applications.
