IDEATHON 2023

An IDEATHON – 2023 competition was organized by the Srinivas Institute of Technology,,Mangaluru in association with Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) and Yukti cell to identify the innovative ideas of the final year students on 6 & 7 November 2023.From the department of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning on 06-11-2023. The selection criteria was based upon the thrust areas of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Image processing and Computer Vision. Prof. Sudarshan, Head Department of Information Science and Engineering and Prof. Atmaranjan K Associate Professor Dept. of ISE,were the judges for this event. The top project idea “Ship Detection using SAR and CCN” presented by Mr. Jibin & team was qualified for the next round to be held on 7-11-23. Prof. Daya Naik and Mr. Nivin K S coordinated the entire event.From the department Information Science & Engineering also conducted event on 06-11-2023. The selection criteria was based upon the thrust areas of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Image processing and Computer Vision. Prof. Daya Naik Associate Professor Dept of AIML and Prof. Nivin Assistant Professor Dept. of AIML were the judges on this occasion. The top project idea “Track Vision – Real Time Obstruction Tracking and Pedestrian Alert System” presented by Mr. Yajnesh & team was qualified for the next round to be held on 7-11-23. Prof. Athmaranjan K coordinate the entire event.From the department of Electronics and Communication Engineering also conducted event on 06-11-2023. The event brought together students, faculty, and technology enthusiasts’ eager to witness the latest innovations in the field of electronics and communication. The collaboration between the academic institution and Yukti Cell promised to showcase cutting-edge projects and foster a culture of innovation. Department had 6 presentations by a team of 3 members each. Presentations were evaluated by Dr. Soorya Krishna K, HOD, Department of ECE and Mr. Sathish Kumar K, Associate Professor, Department of ECE. Evaluation was done in the presence of Mrs. Sahana Girish Kundar, Assistant Professor and project coordinator of ECE and Mrs. Flavita Pinto, Assistant Professor and Yukti Cell Coordinator of ECE.Yukti Cell's presentation featured a range of projects that resonated with the audience, sparking excitement and curiosity. Two of the standout projects were qualified. The students and faculty present at the event were inspired by the possibilities these innovations held for improving communication technology and expanding access to information.On 7/11/2023 total 9 department students were participated and total 10 teams are won the prizes from the various departments won the prizes.
