ICRTAS-2022-INTERNATIONAL-CONFERENCE

An International Conference on “Recent Trends in Applied Sciences [ICRTAS-2022]” was organized by the Department of Basic Science on 3rd and 4th August 2022 at Srinivas Institute of Technology, Mangaluru. On 3rd August 2022, the two day International conference being inaugurated by Dr. Vishnumoorthy Hegde , Group leader , Adesis Inc (Universal Display Company) Delaware,USA., commended the initiative taken by the departments of basic science while delivering inaugural speech, he mentioned that the involvement of young budding researchers by presenting their ideas with scientific community in national and international level leads to expedite the research towards the societal needs oriented to technological development and exploring his talk delivered plenary lecture on emerging research area ‘ Organic Light Emitting Diodes’. Dr.Shrinivasa Mayya D, Principal of the Institute, briefed about the conference objectives. Dr CA. A. Raghavendra Rao , Honourable Chancellor of Srinivas University being presided over the function and Dr.A.Srinivas Rao, honourable Pro-Chancellor of Srinivas University being present as the guest of honour. Dr. Ismail Naci Cangul, Professor at Bursa Uludag University Bursa, Turkey delivered a talk on ‘Graph Theory’ as the key note sessional talk where he explained application of fascinating mathematical concepts in neuroscience, blockchain technology, communication networks, graph matrices as well as the beauty of chemistry. On second day of the conference on 4th August 2022, sessional talk was delivered by Dr. Subramanya Herle, CTO of Energy Storage & Sr. Director, Applied Material, Global leader in semiconductor and Display equipment company, Headquarters, California, USA, on the topic “Fostering innovation for a better world with materials engineering. On both the day paper presentation sessions were arranged after technical talks being chaired by Dr.Ramachandra Bhat B. Professor in Chemistry at NITK Surathkal and Dr.Mahesh, Professor in Physics, MAHE, Manipal, Dr. Harischandra S. Ramane, Professor, Department of Mathematics, Karnatak Univesrity, Dharwad, Dr. Praveen B.M., Professor, Department of Chemistry , Srinivas University, Mukka, and Dr. P.G Patil, Professor& Head, Department of Mathematics, Karnatak Univesrity, Dharwad, where 17 research papers on Chemistry, 11 research papers on Physics and 19 papers on Mathematics were presented by various faculties and research scholars. Dr. Gopalakrishna Bhat N, HOD. of Chemistry who is the chief convenor of the conference welcomed the dignitaries and delegates during inaugural programme, The programme begun with the invocation by Shewtha Hebbar, Assistant professor in Mathematics and Mrs Sadhana rendered vote of thanks, Dr.Suryanarayana K HOD, Physics and Dr.Ananath Kumar Kulkarni, HOD of Mathematics who are the convenors of the organising committee were assisted throughout the conference proceeding as valuators for paper presentation sessions as well as introduced the renowned scientists who have participated as resource persons.The conference was concluded with the interactive feedback from the participants. The conference session was anchored by Mrs. Amitha H, Associate Professor, Department of Physics, Mrs Vathsalya and Mrs. Sadhana, Assistant professors, Department of Mathematics.
