Green Campus: Tree Plantation & Adoption Drive

Name of the Department: Information Science and Engineering Academic Year: 2024-25 Semester: 3 Subject Code: BSCK307 Subject Name: SOCIAL CONNECT & RESPONSIBILITY PLANTATION & ADAPTATION OF A TREE Plantation involves the organized cultivation and management of plants, often undertaken with the purpose of harvesting them for various applications, such as food production, medicinal use, or ornamental applications. The Association of Information Science and Engineering (AISE) organized a session on Plantation and Adaptation of a Tree for third-semester IS&E students at Srinivas Institute of Technology, Mangaluru, on November 07, 2024. Dr. Suryanarayana K., Head of the Physics Department, first taught the importance of planting and how to adjust a tree to their needs. Following that, the students were given a choice of plants. Throughout the course, he also urged the students to use organic manure, water the plants on a regular basis and to keep track of their growth. This program was supported by our beloved principal Dr. Shrinivasa Mayya D. The program was successfully completed with the help of Prof. Sudarshan K, Head of the Department, IS&E.
