Field visit to Incubation centre and Simulation Lab of Yenepoya University

Field visit to Incubation centre and Simulation Lab of Yenepoya University, Deralakatte, was arranged for 5th and 7thsemester students of Electrical & Electronics Engineering Department of Srinivas Institute of Technology, on 27th of November,2023. After a brief explanation of the center's mission and goals, we were taken to high-quality rapid prototypes with 3D Printing (FDM, SLA, SLS, PBF,) and 3D Scanners section and demonstrated its working and developed models. Then we were taken to design and manufacturing of PCB layout, PCB fabrication, PCB stencils, component sourcing, PCB assembly section and demonstrated design and manufacturing process.We visited Fablab which is equipped with machinery and tools that can break down or shape any design depending on the demand, such as a 5-axis CNC, laser cutter, CNC Machining, Waterjet cutter, and Metal sheet cutters, to assist future entrepreneurs and innovators in designing and building their own technology.Next, we moved to Simulation Lab to see Virtual Reality Simulators like Endoscopy trainer, Laparoscopy trainer, Cath lab, Ultra Sound, Ophthalmic, and Otoscopic viewers allows trainees or surgeons to practice procedural skills to perform minimally invasive surgeries, including bronchoscopes, upper and lower gastrointestinal endoscopies, cardiac valve replacements, transthoracic ultra sound, and many more.Next, we visited wash and laundry section to see the advanced machinery being used there. Finally,we visited fully mechanised central kitchen.
