Innovative Insights: Field Exposure Visit to TAZA Home product – Bridging Theory with Practice On 24-02-2025, the Institution's Innovation Council (IIC) of Srinivas Institute of Technology, Mangaluru, in collaboration with the All Student Mechanical Association (ASMA), organized a Field Exposure Visit to TAZA. This initiative aimed to provide hands-on experience to students, helping them bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and real-world industrial applications. The primary goal of this industrial visit was to: • Familiarize students with practical applications of mechanical engineering concepts. • Provide exposure to modern manufacturing processes, tools, and machinery. • Enhance understanding of workshop safety protocols and engineering standards. • Foster an innovative mindset and inspire students to explore industry-driven research and development. The visit took place at TAZA, which specializes in HOME products. The facility is equipped with state-of-the-art machinery and advanced tools, making it an ideal learning platform for students pursuing mechanical engineering. During the visit, students had the opportunity to: 1. Observe Real-World Engineering Applications – They witnessed live demonstrations of industrial machinery and automated systems. 2. Interact with Industry Experts – Engineers and technicians explained critical processes like CNC machining, welding, casting, and 3D printing. 3. Understand Quality Control and Safety Measures – An emphasis was placed on workplace safety protocols, ensuring students understand the importance of precision and accuracy in engineering. 4. Explore Career Opportunities – The visit helped students gain insights into various career paths, including research, manufacturing, and entrepreneurship in mechanical engineering. This field exposure visit played a crucial role in enriching the students' technical knowledge and practical skills. It encouraged them to apply classroom concepts in real-world settings and motivated them to explore innovative solutions to engineering challenges. The event also served as a networking opportunity, allowing students to engage with professionals from the industry. The success of this visit was made possible by the continuous support and visionary leadership of: • Dr. Shrinivasa Mayya D, Principal, Srinivas Institute of Technology. • Dr. Shankar K S, Head of the Mechanical Engineering Department. • Dr. Raghavendra M J, IIC Event Coordinator. Their dedication towards promoting innovation, industry collaboration, and hands-on learning has greatly contributed to the success of this field exposure visit.
