Mangalore:Srinivas University and Srinivas Group of Institutions celebratedfounders’ day at the Valachil campus of Srinivas University on Tuesday, February 14, 2023.Addressing the gathering, The Chief guest Zonal commissioner, City corporation Surathkal Vani V Alva said,a proper foundation is needed for development and Srinivasa Institution is providing it. Education plays a big role in social development. In his presidential remarks, Chancellor Srinivas University Dr CA A Raghavendra Rao said, Education is all about life experience. For a better future, choose the right course, achieve your goal with more effort, and become a role model in society. A Shama Rao Foundation recognises the contribution of Teachers at High School and PU College levels in the undivided Dakshina Kannada district. The foundation has selected Prathim Kumar K.S. (Physical Education Teacher, Shree Bharathi Group of Institutions, Nanthoor, Mangalore) for A Shama Rao Memorial Outstanding Teacher Award this year 2022-23 for his contribution to the field of Education in the undivided Dakshina Kannada district. Manohar S. Shetty, Chairman and Managing Director of Sai Radha Group selected for A Shama Rao Memorial Outstanding Achievement Award 2022-23 for his contribution to the education, employment, social and community services field. Srinivas Group also recognises key achievers in the field of Social Service. This year, Murali Kadekar (Karyadarshi, YakshaganaKalaranga Udupi) for A Shama Rao Memorial Award 2022-23 for outstanding service in the field of Social Service respectively. Students from the Srinivas group of colleges who achieved rankings will also get gold medals at this event, along with faculty members who had their PhDs completed in the previous year, had publications in other countriesor had been awarded patents were felicitated. Trustee Member Smt. A. Vijayalakshmi R. Rao, Prof. ER Smt. A. Mitra S. Rao, Kumari Meghana S. Rao, Registrar Dr. AnilKumar, Development Registrar Dr. Ajay Kumar, Dean of all the Srinivas Institutions, Faculties and students were present. Vice Chancellor Dr. P.S.
