FDP on Deep Learning: From Theory to Deployment(Phase-I)

One week Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on “Deep Learning: From Theory to Deployment (Phase 1)” was organized by Department of Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Srinivas Institute of Technology, Mangalure , from 24th July to 28th July,2023. The programme was inaugurated by lighting the lamp by the principal of the college Dr.ShrinivasaMayya D on 24th July at 10am at computer Lab of Electrical Block. In his inaugural address, he advised the participants to utilize all the sessions and gain practical knowledge. The resource person Prof.LokeshaB,Head of EEE department, gave overview of one week FDP. Prof.BheemaShastry welcomed the gathering and Prof. Harshith K proposed the vote of thanks. Master of ceremony for the inaugural function was done by Prof. Ganapathi Sharma and Prof.ShreeramP. Faculty from PA college of Engineering,Canara engineering college and internal faculty from various departments(EC,MR,CS,AIML, Chemistry ,EE)of Srinivas Institute Technology attended the FDP. It was completely a hands-on FDP and participants learned the practical aspects deep learning and its applications. Valedictory function was held on 28th July at 2 pm at computer lab, Electrical Block. In the feedback, participants shared their experience and expressed their desire to attend the Phase 2 of the FDP.Resource person Prof Lokesha Bdistributed the participation certificates to all the participants. Finally one week FDP ended with group photo.
