Entrepreneurship and Innovation as a Career Opportunity

The workshop on 'Entrepreneurship and Innovation as a Career Opportunity' was held on November 28, 2024, organized by Chirag and Preethika Pramod of the 3rd semester AI&DS, in collaboration with the Departments of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science (AI&DS), Computer Science and Design (CSD), and Information Science and Engineering (ISE), in association with the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC). The resource person for the workshop was Prof. Shailesh Shetty S, the Head of the Department of Computer Science and Business Systems. The workshop aimed to push the boundaries of innovation and problem-solving for engineering students, particularly those in AI&DS, ISE, and CSD. By exploring cutting-edge technologies and real-world challenges, participants gained a competitive edge and developed essential skills for driving groundbreaking solutions. Through hands-on projects, expert-led sessions, and collaborative learning, students delved into advanced concepts in machine learning, data science, and software engineering. This workshop not only equipped students with technical expertise but also fostered a mindset of innovation, critical thinking, and ethical responsibility, enabling them to shape the future of technology and society. The program was supported by our esteemed Principal, Dr. Shrinivasa Mayya D, and was successfully initiated and completed with the efforts of Prof. Nagaraja Hebbar, Dr. Padmanayana, and Prof. Sudarshan K, Heads of the AI&DS, CSD, and ISE Departments, respectively. Additionally, Prof. Ganapathi Sharma, Yukthi Cell Coordinator, played a key role in the event. The workshop was efficiently coordinated by Prof. Kiran, Association Coordinator and Technical Coordinator. The event marked a significant step in inspiring students towards entrepreneurship and innovation, encouraging them to think beyond conventional career paths.
