Empowering Government School Children through Outreach

Department of Computer Science & Design, Srinivas Institute of Technology, Mangaluru in association with National Service Scheme (NSS) visited Dakshina Kannada Zilla Panchayath Higher Primary School, Valachil on 22nd June 2024 and organised an outreach program. The event featured interactive quiz games, general knowledge sessions, and cultural events, all aimed at engaging and inspiring the school children of class 5th to 7th. The children also participated in various English language class activities such as rhymes, self-introductions, creating words from given letters, and much more. These activities help to improve the children's English language skills, increase their thinking capabilities, and enhance their problem-solving skills. Additionally, the children were divided into groups to assess their team-building strengths.Mrs. Molly Gracy Vas, the Head Mistress, expressed her gratitude, appreciating the positive engagement between the students and organizers. The event was coordinated by Dr. Padmanayana, HOD-CSD, and Staff Coordinator Mrs. Rajeshwari R. Shettigar.
