Engineers Day Celebration 2024

The Engineers Day celebration at SIT, Mangalore, was held on September 17, 2024, and was organized by the student associations of Mechanical and Marine Engineering (AIMES and ASMA). The program commenced at 11:30 AM and witnessed enthusiastic participation from both faculty members and students of the Mechanical and Marine Engineering departments. The chief guest for the event was Mr. P. Ramesh Kumar, an Aeronautical Engineer at HAL, Bangalore. The event was presided over by Dr. Shankar K S, Head of the Department of Mechanical Engineering, with Dr. Lokesh V, Head of the Department of Marine Engineering, also gracing the dais. The event began with an invocation by Ms. Tejaswini, a 3rd-year student of Mechanical Engineering, followed by a warm welcome to the gathering by Prof. Sunil Prakash, Faculty Advisor of AIMES. Ms. Prakruthi, a 2nd-year Marine Engineering student, efficiently handled the role of the Master of Ceremony. The chief guest, Mr. P. Ramesh Kumar, was introduced by Mr. Sai Madhav, a final-year Marine Engineering student. During the program, Mr. P. Ramesh Kumar was felicitated for his contributions to the field of aeronautics. His speech encouraged the students to be proactive and creative in their approach to solving modern-day challenges. The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Ms. Harshitha, a final-year student of Marine Engineering. The program served as an inspiration to the students to aim higher and innovate.
