Drug-Free India Awareness Programme

On 13th August 2025 the National Service Scheme NSS in association with AIMES Student Association and the Department of Marine Engineering Srinivas Institute of Technology organized an awareness programme to promote a DrugFree India As part of the initiative under the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan all students of Marine Engineering took a solemn pledge to stay away from drugs and to actively contribute to building a healthy drugfree society The pledge emphasized that youth are the driving force of the nation and that change begins with each individual The programme encouraged students to commit themselves not only to personal wellbeing but also to inspiring their peers families and communities to join the cause The event concluded with the resounding call of Jai Hind reaffirming the collective resolve to fight against drug abuse The event was coordinated by Prof Vivek V Kumar AIMES Coordinator Prof Chandra Jogi NSS Coordinator The Programme was held under the guidance of Dr Lokesh V HOD Marine Engineering and Dr Shrinivasa Mayya D Principal Srinivas Institute of Technology Mangaluru
